I can't imagine all the work that will go into the training alone. I wish you the best! My father died of Leukemia when I was 19, I can't believe that was 16 years ago because it seems like yesterday. My mom has been battling lymphoma for the past 7 years. She has had 3 reoccurences and has been hospitalized for most of this year going through a stem cell implantation. This procedure has been far more difficult than all the other chemo combined. I can hardly believe she's had the courage to endure it all. I don't think I could do it. As of now, there is no more cancer in her body, but the recovery is very very slow each day is so difficult. Thank you for caring about those who are fighting these diseases. There really has been amazing progress in treatment in the past 7 years. My mom was originally given a 25% chance of survival and she's still with us. It really is nothing short of miraculous. I really admire you for taking on this challenge. I just wanted to let you know how much it is appreciated that you're taking part in this marathon. I have Fanconi Anemia, and because of it I developed Leukemia 2 years ago. I got lucky and today I'm near perfect health, but I met so many people and made so many friends that are still fighting for their lives, and I appreciate your efforts in raising funds and calling attention to the research efforts.
